This year’s Hockley Winter Foursomes. I am writing to update you on an important change that will apply during the competition.

This November, we will be carrying out significant recovery work on the fairways following advice from our agronomist. 

To protect this work, from late November, all shots played from the fairways will need to be from a strike mat. Players may still choose to drop their ball in the semi-rough if they prefer.

For Winter Foursomes competitors, we will provide Spurk Mats to borrow for your rounds so that you can continue to enjoy the competition without needing to purchase/provide your own. 

We appreciate that this is a change from previous winters, but it is a key step in ensuring the fairways recover properly and return in excellent condition next season.

With your support, we can protect the course for the future while still enjoying one of our most popular winter competitions.
